Delete your account

You can delete your Chicken Genetics Calculator account, and everything stored against it, from inside the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent. If you would like to keep a copy of your records, export them first — once the account is gone it cannot be recovered.

Export your records first (optional)

If you want to keep what you have entered, take a copy before deleting:

Open the Chicken Genetics Calculator app and sign in.
Go to the Account tab.
Tap Export my records, and save or send the file it produces.

The export contains a full copy of everything stored against your account.

Open the Chicken Genetics Calculator app and sign in.
Go to the Account tab.
Tap Delete my account.
Confirm by tapping Delete everything.

What is deleted

Everything stored against your account is removed permanently:

Your account and email address. The email address used to sign in is deleted along with the account.
Your flock. Every chicken record, including names, sex, breed and variety, recorded genetics, parentage and notes.
Your crosses and projects. Every saved cross, breeding plan and project, including hatch records.
Your photos. Every photograph attached to any of your records.

None of it is retained after deletion, and there is no recovery period — this is a deletion, not a deactivation.

Your subscription is separate. If you have a paid subscription, it is billed and managed by Google Play, not by us. Deleting your account here does not cancel it. Cancel the subscription in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or it will continue to renew.

Deleting only some of your data

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove something. Anything you have entered can be deleted on its own, from the record itself, and the rest of your account is untouched:

A chicken. Open the chicken's record and tap Delete this chicken.
A photograph. Open the chicken's record, select the photo, and tap Delete photo — the record itself stays.
A cross or a hatch record. From My Crosses, delete the cross, or a single hatch record within it.
A project. From the Projects tab, delete the project.

These deletions are immediate and permanent in the same way account deletion is, and they do not need a request — you can do them yourself at any time.

If you cannot get into the app

If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in to reach the Account screen, you can ask for the account to be deleted on your behalf. Send the request through the Wolfhoeve site, from the email address the account was registered with, and say that you want your Chicken Genetics Calculator account deleted.

The request is verified against the registered email address before anything is deleted, so that nobody else can delete your records.

The free website tools

The tools on this website — Compare Standards, Breeding Outcomes and photo identification — need no account and store nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing to delete for those. Photographs sent to the identification tool are never stored.
